I then backed it on to some sheet music which I distressed with broken china and added a tiny 50 (don't want to rub it in )cut out of more music. It's a pity my camera is so rubbish as the colours look so much better in real life but it gives the idea. </div>JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-4866634243907924892010-05-20T13:43:00.000-07:002010-05-20T13:58:26.882-07:00Anniversary Card-Gingersnaps Kraft challenge<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguIgkpC6SpWIX2WTRrVsOjUta4AhFRUi0g-5_r85iKqt9787kestcOYp_XYrBlBMPqtaojWozrUp2ASBSpQ9kpXqBWOY-64yhc6_dpr8X0LoxCmamLbSYCM5u9xEWkiSISeRxME8SX-6Du/s1600/dai2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguIgkpC6SpWIX2WTRrVsOjUta4AhFRUi0g-5_r85iKqt9787kestcOYp_XYrBlBMPqtaojWozrUp2ASBSpQ9kpXqBWOY-64yhc6_dpr8X0LoxCmamLbSYCM5u9xEWkiSISeRxME8SX-6Du/s320/dai2.jpg" /></a></div><br />
On Monday it's my 24th Wedding Anniversary and I made this Venice card for my wonderful husband. I picked the Venice theme as we hope to go there for our Silver wedding next year. I used the oxford impressions stamps and stamped lots of individual images on kraft card then masked them off and stamped over the top with Italian text. I saw the Gingersnap Kraft challenge and thought I'd enter this :)JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-57551884584490189202010-05-20T13:33:00.000-07:002010-05-20T13:33:57.982-07:00Lucy's class :Birthday card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGnTDwNCuIz96buzG5HIKpGOQmkvKlxRK2GhI024KsfapDwc2Uzc_wZ-mQoUe-gGlzTZPSgr4Ze4BM-aLfXwk0dDZLvjSFuw-2ivZ7Wq8yaCS9WV6lEJ-GdikMFAz4QKfqNRXpIYOwuIQH/s1600/jo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGnTDwNCuIz96buzG5HIKpGOQmkvKlxRK2GhI024KsfapDwc2Uzc_wZ-mQoUe-gGlzTZPSgr4Ze4BM-aLfXwk0dDZLvjSFuw-2ivZ7Wq8yaCS9WV6lEJ-GdikMFAz4QKfqNRXpIYOwuIQH/s320/jo.jpg" /></a></div>Lucy has been teaching us how to make some lovely backgrounds by dabbing distress inks on a craft sheet then spritzing with water and picking up the inks on some paper or card,then when dry dab a contrast colour through some sequin waste and spray with cosmic shimmer-such a fab effect. I used some of the background I made for this card and added an ant stamp ,an stamped flower and pearl.<br />
I then added a great Bible verse which sums up my friend who is always so busy doing so much for others -an amazing lady :)JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-74927633636110095922010-05-20T13:23:00.000-07:002010-05-20T13:23:36.733-07:00Lucy's Class ; Inspiration Alison<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiD3WjQVIHU7qW3w4S0YMkPKtT8IkQw7Un1bdcOKMVZ9r-nfTghHft36xVuLTkzOHST9SyQosa9l_HuohlJPPxr5pMHcDh5moy5jG6UX_Sz86FYNVQPy5ruDDra3Nqm0Qdl8E6DT0fFpzf/s1600/coaster1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiD3WjQVIHU7qW3w4S0YMkPKtT8IkQw7Un1bdcOKMVZ9r-nfTghHft36xVuLTkzOHST9SyQosa9l_HuohlJPPxr5pMHcDh5moy5jG6UX_Sz86FYNVQPy5ruDDra3Nqm0Qdl8E6DT0fFpzf/s320/coaster1.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJYX8VQp6Y_UfRqAL3PewXKbV0jUd7LNOZ7EgKJo3bqOGybEH3eTjftKhfenb-JsD9OCzjodKs65OiNFMbzQDXdiNh8He_j9tXK0XwrKUi5abB61k286aewFWOoHZZ1eiPs_dul3fCOgHy/s1600/coaster2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJYX8VQp6Y_UfRqAL3PewXKbV0jUd7LNOZ7EgKJo3bqOGybEH3eTjftKhfenb-JsD9OCzjodKs65OiNFMbzQDXdiNh8He_j9tXK0XwrKUi5abB61k286aewFWOoHZZ1eiPs_dul3fCOgHy/s320/coaster2.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4jcFqOMjIF9NsfHHY6RvIsKIs8gL7I5_zpfTYarNwRiiDxOm1tyBDvmA1xOAsT_3JVAnvNkqvGVMLZ7BGX4Yr9eC9ROk_CWd62LWCXaa13m7lQhMhliyr1YhiqdFrI67YuIsdJKd2xO2N/s1600/coaster3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4jcFqOMjIF9NsfHHY6RvIsKIs8gL7I5_zpfTYarNwRiiDxOm1tyBDvmA1xOAsT_3JVAnvNkqvGVMLZ7BGX4Yr9eC9ROk_CWd62LWCXaa13m7lQhMhliyr1YhiqdFrI67YuIsdJKd2xO2N/s320/coaster3.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8tmO09zoL2HC3rHTnvvHn8Lw0i9nrgMyNhb7fdziVp651ND7NkgDSqzR7JbVkZOExvKWZ62gVsj4RKV7EFCTIyvS3-Byur0egI0bMiHxC7iMNBx6TZMkwDkcEPxLzIEnSX28KBiGI7A_/s1600/coaster4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gu="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8tmO09zoL2HC3rHTnvvHn8Lw0i9nrgMyNhb7fdziVp651ND7NkgDSqzR7JbVkZOExvKWZ62gVsj4RKV7EFCTIyvS3-Byur0egI0bMiHxC7iMNBx6TZMkwDkcEPxLzIEnSX28KBiGI7A_/s320/coaster4.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I used a blend of Victorian Velvet and Vintage photo distress inks on the background card , then aged a piece of music and the poem with antique linen and tea dye distress inks. I used spellbinders shapeabilities to cut out the birds then distress inked the flowers and added some pearls which I thought tied in well with the Allsorts petals and Pearls challenge.JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-15971105346218787412010-04-05T05:43:00.000-07:002010-04-05T06:57:01.968-07:00Hmmm definitely needs practice<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaCx22KCF6aFULU5kLzutjCL8tpRAMb9JOE8JReoGspM5A5Kp_egEvRNZsMwsnRRAf8sChEgErNTdwvuV0MZpCgjRS-6IJxaZPvf0_H_-CGgPCwo1Iqy-DwkPaKVxL9GkZPRVUUAf7CoLp/s1600/Cards+195.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaCx22KCF6aFULU5kLzutjCL8tpRAMb9JOE8JReoGspM5A5Kp_egEvRNZsMwsnRRAf8sChEgErNTdwvuV0MZpCgjRS-6IJxaZPvf0_H_-CGgPCwo1Iqy-DwkPaKVxL9GkZPRVUUAf7CoLp/s320/Cards+195.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkM5r68km7IdCis_6JsVOuxbKyQQOiHFvgDslXP8evS58lNBRzuflMllW_T-0qbsA1DFYePkWn3Bmh3_3GeCBbZFiERbj6-hr40WxxtWfwU6bDOZKVmMUd1JlpCLThSDAbUcXdRguiX_Yk/s1600/Cards+197.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkM5r68km7IdCis_6JsVOuxbKyQQOiHFvgDslXP8evS58lNBRzuflMllW_T-0qbsA1DFYePkWn3Bmh3_3GeCBbZFiERbj6-hr40WxxtWfwU6bDOZKVmMUd1JlpCLThSDAbUcXdRguiX_Yk/s320/Cards+197.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO5zIevZd8g3eergTxptNyuzyWN5QqK6a17TD0fJ0qfaH__D8QKYjlY0OqFKwMMK0xox3SyM4dRYwL8PaM1dRBoFyOusAmfXd2Eyr9NKaH5ktF9SIVCDdeMtkXWIjONkh6PhPLqy8tfWYB/s1600/Cards+192.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO5zIevZd8g3eergTxptNyuzyWN5QqK6a17TD0fJ0qfaH__D8QKYjlY0OqFKwMMK0xox3SyM4dRYwL8PaM1dRBoFyOusAmfXd2Eyr9NKaH5ktF9SIVCDdeMtkXWIjONkh6PhPLqy8tfWYB/s320/Cards+192.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEHy3D4ubyXsc9EdUzP4eU4smwqMqSgLzclUoUXyENg2Rd39oplB28VX9GvvpWMc5dTM4p6HRtzKaNQIwkWxRWNQbgG6d2dIhuEvIwfGPinlmKEpuY-UCl76JPcIW-63tBdijOErm8ruPC/s1600/Cards+207.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEHy3D4ubyXsc9EdUzP4eU4smwqMqSgLzclUoUXyENg2Rd39oplB28VX9GvvpWMc5dTM4p6HRtzKaNQIwkWxRWNQbgG6d2dIhuEvIwfGPinlmKEpuY-UCl76JPcIW-63tBdijOErm8ruPC/s320/Cards+207.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Well had a go at trying to do something with the tags and all but one came out disasterously but I thought I'd still blog them as this is my very first attempt ever and then in a year or so I can look back and hopefully see some progress. I have so gotta get me some decent arty type stamps which might help -I'll have to be extra nice to my hubby and suggest some for my birthday :)JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-66437760640006531682010-04-03T08:45:00.000-07:002010-04-03T08:45:46.442-07:00Gotta love distress inks<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJyz6NWvOKD99JE25p0B1puRo9Srn0EyTiqXYVJfa5HC3wHlFWssYdhs1wWbLx4UY3kgNLaxRjCn8RUo0CnWsKMMSGBua8FRQVCAkI_Ii6Flx0UjETZQbNLiUwmuSP2UiMFKkOCtQoMT-9/s1600/Cards+184.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJyz6NWvOKD99JE25p0B1puRo9Srn0EyTiqXYVJfa5HC3wHlFWssYdhs1wWbLx4UY3kgNLaxRjCn8RUo0CnWsKMMSGBua8FRQVCAkI_Ii6Flx0UjETZQbNLiUwmuSP2UiMFKkOCtQoMT-9/s320/Cards+184.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Today I had a play with my new distress inks that my lovely Hubby bought me for Easter. I decided to make my own majorly inferior version and had a lot of fun doing it. The base is an Ikea mirror which was the bargain price of £1-19 and I used distress inks to make a rainbow like background on pieces of stampbord to signify the wonderland feel (it ended up a bit more like somewhere over the rainbow from the Wizard of Oz but hey I'm still learning) .Then I stamped the Alice images from the Oxford Impressions Classic Alice set -which are stunning and will be featuring heavily in many guises on here over the next few weeks.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I had no idea how difficult it is to photograph a mirror but after many disasterous attempts this is the best I could get. This is my very first workspace and probably the last time it will ever look like this. I can't wait till tomorrow when I can start organising all my stuff on and around it -I feel the need for more storage coming on and I wonder how much gentle persuading hubby dearest will need to put some shelves up for me. See it starts at one desk and already I'm planning my take over bid of the whole office mwa hahahaha.</div>JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438361257138018125.post-76057695386266960952010-03-25T16:09:00.000-07:002010-03-25T16:09:02.237-07:00Crafting Queen<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxApjQ_uJqtmFsapdTq7-Bm8D7KjDJnS6pdmewT8zUk36HfNW_sCx4PY1xoiTzWeQwgmVbFSHg8V5dpgy-zvpheEG7FyXtB__uMWDbfAVlWiDmzCW9KKVlXQfdYbzsNpLsmIusD2VCIefh/s1600/Cards+146.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxApjQ_uJqtmFsapdTq7-Bm8D7KjDJnS6pdmewT8zUk36HfNW_sCx4PY1xoiTzWeQwgmVbFSHg8V5dpgy-zvpheEG7FyXtB__uMWDbfAVlWiDmzCW9KKVlXQfdYbzsNpLsmIusD2VCIefh/s320/Cards+146.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is a bithday card I made for our amazing craft teacher Lucy- a definite Queen of Crafting . I used one of my favourite flourish stamps and my new white ink pad that I bought yesterday ,some cute little gems, mini scissors and a book plate image. Happy birthday for the 31st Lucy :)</div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well there is a distinct lack of crafting going on in my house at the moment as I am waiting for a new craft desk to come. I only recently started crafting and have been making do with my dining room table and a few crafting bits stored neatly in some storage boxes, but as the addiction has got hold I now have an ever growing stash of stuff and a need for a permanent space to work on as my family do need to sit and eat –or so they tell me.</div><br />
<br />
In response to my plea for a craft space my lovely hubby has cleared half the office (as can be seen in the picture) and we have ordered a desk and chair. How exciting I thought but noooo there’s a delay with the desk –I have my chair but that’s no use without my desk.<br />
<br />
Now most of the time I try to be a sensible grown up woman (no sniggering those who know me) but this lack of desk and inability to craft has sent me right back to the toddler stage where I want to stamp my foot and have a tantrum and yell I WANT IT NOW!!! -Mrs instant gratification –who me? Lol <br />
<br />
So while I’m learning patience I am enjoying looking at everyone else’s blogs and hoovering up ideas so that when I eventually get my desk I can try some exciting new things.<br />
<br />
Hopefully it will be arriving some time this week and I can get organised and back to learning more about my new passion and stop whinging at my poor hubby <br />
<br />

My sad old camera doesn't pick up the detail very well but I used Linen paper as I wanted an antique book plate look. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink and used a fab set of stamps from Artistic Stamper to fill in the panels. This style of card looks great with different papers in the panels and I think I'll try that in the near future.JudeGranthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03043255557132955746noreply@blogger.com3
